Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights activist, author as well as a model and actress. Her movies are Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). New York was her home and she grew up in an environment that was artistic. In the beginning she was employed as an assistant to photographers. Later on, her career shifted towards modeling and directing. The actress was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award in 1990 because she was a promising young actor. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story proved a major success and earned her international fame along with the Academy Award' nomination and the Golden Globe award. In just three films she was deemed as the top female performer in box office history. Handprints, signatures and footprints were engraved in 1972 at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She has starred in several other films including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among others. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography was published. MacGraw has married thrice.
