Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American actor and singer is extremely famous. She was raised by her mom throughout the USA she was subject to many racial slurs which gave her feeling of being a bit unpopular. It was in her ninth year that she started to feel more confident after receiving a rousing ovation in an audition. It not only boosted her confidence, but it was also a change in the direction of her professional career. The 22-year-old graduated with an education from the Julliard School in New York. Her professional career began when she was 23 years old, appearing in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and The You've Got Mail film. In the Broadway first production of Spamalot She played the role of Lady of The Lake and won both the Tony Award as well as high praise from critics. The recognition grew even more for her appearance on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. Known as a singer she also released a single and an extended version of her play. She is an activist who works tirelessly for LGBT equality.
